Blues Cruise - overview
Blues Cruise is a charity event that took place on 16th June 2007. An e-commerce ticket system was built so that tickets could be purchased and tracked for the event. A content management system was also built so that all of the text, images and links could be edited across the site.
The below splits Blues Cruise into website and system functionality. To view more information and screenshots on both of these sections, please click the links from the menu on the right.

Tickets -
Person specifies their name and email address and a name for each ticket they would like to purchase (up to a maximum of 10 tickets per purchase).
They then confirm their details.
They are then re-directed to PayPal so that they can pay with their PayPal account/switch card/credit card.
Upon a successful purchase, when they click “Return to Merchant”, they will go back to the Blues Cruise website.
At this point a separate PDF e-ticket is produced for each ticket purchased, attached to an email and then sent through to the email address specified at the start.
The number of available tickets is then updated on the site automatically (subtracted from 240).
When the number of available tickets reaches 0, purchasing functionality is automatically disabled on the website.
Page content - ability to update all text, images and links on every page through the content management system.
Search - ability to search through all pages, bands and sponsors on the website and view search results.
Gallery - ability to look through a gallery of photos that have been uploaded through the content management system.
Newsletters - ability to specify a name and email address to subscribe to the Blues Cruise newsletter.
