Carringtons Estate Agents - overview
Carringtons upload their property particulars to a property portal regularly. They wanted the ability to display their properties and take registrations on their website. Rather than re-enter their property particulars, a program was written to download their properties daily from the property portal and display them on their estate agency website.
The below splits Carringtons Estate Agents into website and system functionality.

Home page - ability to feature a property
and display a custom message.
Quick search - search by price range, bedrooms, type of let.
Search results - display properties ordered by price. Displays price, number of bedrooms, type of property, property heading, status, location, summary and external photo.
Property details - display property heading, location, price, number of bedrooms, type of property, external photo, additional photos, property description (including room measurements). Map link displays the property on Multimap. Print link displays a printer-friendly page of the property details. Slideshow link plays a slideshow of the property's photos. Ability to register interest in the property.
Prestige homes section - properties over £800k are displayed in a separate section on the website.
Registration - ability to register as a sales or lettings applicant.
Carringtons Estate Agents system
Automated property synchronisation - a bespoke script was written to interface with Findaproperty. Carringtons manually enter in their properties and these are displayed on Findaproperty, so rather than re-entering their properties, the script copies all property information and photos from Findaproperty daily. This then refreshes their website automatically.

Featured property - ability to make a property featured so that it appears on the home page.
Homepage message - ability to specify a message to appear on the homepage.
